Love this flipchart!

I am sharing them with my middle school classes this fall. Great design and messages.

Modern Manners for Teens

Great way to engage the kids

like the "What would you do questions?" to enforce the manners being discussed.

I love this game!!

Worth every penny- we’ve played with people we know well and with a group that we were just getting to know and it honestly worked great for both!

Do You Even Know Me?

Other parents will ask you...

Other parents will ask you “where did you get this? I need one for my kids.” your kids will soak it in even if they aren’t actively reading it. I have noticed a definite change in my teenager since displaying this in their bathroom.

Modern Manners for Teens

I’ve had this game for over a year now and it is one my gatherings of family and friends come back to again and again. It’s such a fantastic icebreaker! It works for groups that don’t know each other well as well as families who think they know each other… there are always revelations and lots of laughter. Thank you for creating such a thoughtful game. That really does help us have meaningful conversations and a lot of fun!

Provides for great dinner conversations!

This includes great, specific tips for teens (for all family members, actually!) I love having this displayed on our dinner table, and allows for great teachable moments for our whole family.

Super fabulous-

actually having an effect on all of us. My husband actually read it on his way out the door & proceeded to share with me that he introduced himself at the farmer’s market at one of the booths to the vendor & it was because he read this that morning! It looks great on our table & it's fun to see what the next one says.. Def. get this!

A Wonderful Reminder for Kids and Adults too

Love this manners book for our kids, and its a great refresher for adults too. We keep it on the kitchen table and it has sparked so many great family conversations. Such a fun way to remind us how to work on our manners, kindness and respect for others. I would totally recommend getting this book for your family. Get a couple extra to give away as gifts.

Modern Manners for Teens

My kids are engaged and remember the topics we are learning with this resource. Just the other day, my 6-year-old remembered not to interrupt me as I was visiting with a friend. The prompts for role-playing are great.

Modern Manners for Teens

So helpful for teens!

This flip book is a great conversation starter with my teens and kids. No old fashioned rules here (like keeping your elbows off the table), these are manners for today’s teens that help navigate a more digital world, and teach them how to interact with people. We read one each week then leave it in display for reference the rest of the week. We love it!

Modern Manners for Teens

This game is the game of all games.

You can play it with kids, adults, friends, relatives. You name it, & it works. I can't tell you how many times someone would yell, "What??? You don't even know yourself. I know you so much better!" This is a game I will be carrying in my suitcase when we travel, pulling out when friends come over, & using anytime I want to get my kids talking to each other and having fun with me. Buy this game...you won't regret it!

5 Ways to Get Your Teen Talking

If "fine" and "nothing" are your teen's default answers these days, try one of these strategies:

1.jpg

Talk while you move

Side by side beats face to face — rebound a basketball, take a drive, go on a walk. Distraction take the pressure off teens who clam up under direct eye contact.

2.jpg

Give a real compliment

Skip "good job." Say something specific you noticed, appreciate, or genuinely love about them.

3.jpg

Let them teach you something

Learn a new make-up technique, the history of their favorite band, or all the rules of a sport they play. Real interest opens real conversation.

4.jpg

Ask for their advice

A work problem, a parenting decision, even what snacks to buy. Teens open up faster when they feel needed, not managed.

5.jpg

Skip the usual topics

Steer clear of school, friends, and chores for once — ask something new instead.

Every teen wants to be confident and connected. They just aren't always sure how.

Hey, Well Played started because one mom of four boys realized that good relationships hinged on good connection. Brooke Romney has spent years creating tools and a community that make connecting with your teens feel natural, easy, and genuinely fun.

No more dreading the teen years. Love, teaching, boundaries, and memorable moments can coexist.

Hey, Well Played gives you the tools and inspiration to be the parent you always wanted to be — and gives your teens the confidence to grow into who they're meant to be.
